Dr. Ridge is the general dentist at CommWell Health Salemburg Dental clinic. She is a member of the ADA, NCDS. Dr. Ridge received her doctorate of dental surgery in the summer of 2014 from University of MO, Kansas City. She is a former LPN, RN who went back to school to pursue dentistry after being in the workforce in full time nursing for about eight years. Dr. Ridge earned her Bachelor’s degree with a major in Chemistry and double minor in Math and Biology from Friends University in Wichita, KS,
Dr. Ridge’s clinical interests include restorations; crowns; root canals; bridges; oral surgery; dentures and partials.
At CommWell Health, we bring together all aspects primary medical, dental and behavioral health care for the patient’s benefit. Dr. Ridge believes her background in nursing allows her to relate with the patients and their families on a more personal level. She enjoys being able to build relationships with patients. She treats patients the way she would like her and her family members to be treated, in a culturally sensitive manner with the utmost respect. She likes her patients to feel comfortable enough to openly express their oral health concerns. She thinks education is very important and is necessary for the patient to be able to make a sound decision about their treatment. She feels the patient has the right to make the decision regarding their oral health once well informed as she stands by to offer any suggestions or answer any questions. Patient autonomy is important.
Dr. Ridge enjoys swimming, tennis, photography, movies, comedy clubs, pool, racquetball, badminton, and cycling.
