We are expanding access to care across southeastern North Carolina!
CommWell Health is proud to share that we are adding a new Mobile Unit to our fleet, strengthening our ability to bring quality medical and dental care directly to the communities we serve.
This 32-foot mobile unit is equipped to provide both medical and dental services, helping us expand outreach efforts, support our health center locations when needed, and respond to disasters and emergencies. Outfitted with two dental chairs, digital imaging capabilities, wireless access to electronic health records, and the flexibility to provide medical services, this unit enhances our ability to meet patients where they are.
The new Mobile Health Unit will serve communities across Bladen, Brunswick, Harnett, Johnston, Pender, and Sampson counties, as well as disaster-affected communities when needed.
This addition was made possible through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Capital Assistance for Hurricane Response and Recovery Efforts (CARE) grant. CommWell Health received $589,000 to support the CARE project, which included the new Mobile Unit and emergency generators at our Bolivia and Newton Grove/Spivey’s Corner locations.
