The most recent update by the National Hurricane Center now projects Florence’s path approaching the NC Coast, and then moving in a westerly direction, through South Carolina.
Continue to prepare, however! While we may now not face the full force of the storm, considerable rain and wind can cause local flooding, downed trees and widespread power outages.
The current track may still change, which is why preparedness is important.
