Dr. Yearwood Is a board-Certified pediatrician for over 20 years, serving as a pediatric hospitalist for over 14 years at a regional hospital in Dunn, North Carolina. Dr. Yearwood earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, New York and her MD from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to attending Morehouse, Dr. Yearwood served as a registered nurse at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She then completed her Residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Arnold Palmer Hospital for women and children. Dr. Yearwood’s geographical areas of service, since her graduation from residency, have been underserved areas and communities.
My expertise is well baby care, ADHD, Asthma, and obesity.
As a pediatrician, what motivates me, is a passion for providing care to my patients with a level of compassion that is second to none. I also strive to offer care that is holistic. I am compassionate about enabling the next generation to live their healthiest and most productive lives. I consider myself a strong and determined advocate for children and teens. I strive to educate my patients and their parents on healthy eating habits, practices, and behaviors. I also provide resources that they can reference to learn more about what we may have discussed in our session.
I am interested in hiking, dancing, music and the arts, I enjoy spending time in the garden planting, pruning trimming and just working outside among my plants and trees. My happy place is the beach, the woods or the mountains.
