Comprehensive Women’s Health Care

Women’s healthcare encompasses several things, starting with regular, annual pelvic exams and pap tests, family planning and finding the right birth control, treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, counseling, education, and maternity (pre- and post-pregnancy care). At CommWell Health, you have access to providers to help with your women’s healthcare or access to OB/GYN specialists for more specialized services.

General Women’s Health Services

At CommWell Health, our providers provide routine gynecological and gynocological services and collaborate/refer with our partners, UNC Physician’s Network, to provide high-quality OB/GYN services to our patients.

CommWell Health (CWH) is a proud partner with UNC Physician’s Network (UNCPN) to offer OBGYN services at select CommWell Health locations.

Women's Health Services Include:

Annual gynecologic exams, including breast exams, pelvic exams and pap tests
Contraception counseling
Placement of intrauterine devices (IUDs) and implantable hormonal contraceptives
Ultrasounds (diagnostic and prenatal)
Lab tests including blood draws and urinalysis
Prenatal care
Obstetrical care, pre and post-delivery

Mammography Services:

CommWell Health (CWH) is a proud partner with Novant Health and Rex Mammography to offer Mammography services at select CommWell Health locations through their Mobile Mammography Program.

Preventive mammogram screenings under most insurance plans are covered. However, if you do not have insurance and cannot afford a mammogram, you may qualify for screening through dedicated grants and fundraisers provided by UNC Rex and Novant.
