This Health Center, CommWell Health, is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
The Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Acts (FSHCAA) of 1992 (Pub. L. 102-501) and 1995 (Pub. L. 104-73) extend Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) protections under 28 U.S.C. 1346(b), 2401(b),
and 2679-81 to eligible health centers funded under the Health Center Program, section 330 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act (42 U.S.C. 254b), as amended. Tri-County Community Health Council, Inc doing business as “CommWell Health”, is protected under this legislation.
CommWell Health receives Health and Human Services funding and has Federal Public Health Services deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
If you have concerns about patient care or safety please ask to speak with a Patient Representative or Practice Manager at your CommWell Health service location so your concern may be documented and addressed.
Any unresolved patient safety or quality of care concerns may be reported to the Joint Commission.
